YOUTH AGAINST INVASION
FROM JENIN REFUGEE CAMP
TO GAZA AND AROUND THE WORLD

YOUTH AGAINST INVASION is the thoughts, words and voices of young people from The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp. A space to defy oppression, demand justice and shout: "No more silence, no more fear"

YOUTH AGAINST INVASION began as a response to Israel's genocide in Gaza and after a 50-hour attack by the Israeli army in Jenin in December 2023.

The invasion included drone strikes, bombing and Israeli soldiers destroying homes, desecrating the mosque and terrorising the local population. Twelve Palestinians were murdered, and the army took three hundred people hostage.

During this invasion, The Freedom Theatre was ransacked, and the equipment was destroyed. Three members, including Artistic Director Ahmed Tobasi, Producer Mustafa Sheta and recently graduated student & poet Jamal Abu Joas were taken by the army. Tobasi was released the next day. Jamal was released eight days later. Mustafa remains in prison without charge or trial.
